28 Classes...26 Ribbons ! It's hard to believe one rider and two horses could go in this many classes. What is even harder to believe, is how well he did. Congratulations Josh ! |
2007 Mid-Atlantic Tennessee Walking Horse Classic Show Lexington, VA |
2007 Tarheel Plantation Classic Raleigh, NC |
The color of the day was red. Even though Josh didn't receive a blue ribbon
the entire event, he never gave up. That is what life is all about! He rode
the hair off both of his horses right up to the end of the show. Not
once complaining about his placement. He just listened to his trainer's suggestions
and concentrated harder and harder with each class. Way to go Josh! That kind of determination will take you where you want to
go, right to the top! |
2007 Carolina Walkers' Camden Classic Camden, SC |
Camden is always the first show of the season for us. Although it is usually
a little cool, it still is one of our favorites! Josh went with one mission
and that was to get Versatility points. That is exactly what he did!
Josh came away with 5 points in 3 gait and 2 points in Showmanship.
Way to go! He also got two 1st place blues on his spotted horse Hobo.
Congratulations also goes out to Sara Beth and her three first place wins
on Little Man at his first show! We came home with a total of 19 placings.

2007 Gaited Gala Asheville, NC |
Back in Blue! What a great show! When you are in the mountains it always seems you are a little closer to heaven. Even though the temperature was a tad bit warm on Friday, it was a beautiful weekend. A wonderful time was had by everyone! Josh placed in all but two classes, and was glad to be back in the blues. |
2007 Firecracker Jubilee / Liberty Bell Classic |
This year's Firecracker was hotter than ever and in more ways than one! Josh
had the best show of his career with both of his horses. He came home with
a boat-load of ribbons and even got the youth high-point award. Jacey
also did very well in her classes and even placed in the championship model class
with Jazz. Fancy also did a great job winning the country pleasure championship
classes. If you were not there for the barrels and poles classes,
you missed a real treat watching Josh and Bally. It's amazing what one
overweight horse and one determined kid can do! |
2007 NWHA Nationals Murfreesboro, TN |
What a ball we had! This was our first time showing at the Natioanls.
We always enjoy our trips to Tennessee and this one was no different! It was a
great place to end the 2007 NWHA show season .I think Josh ribboned in all but 5 classes and told us on the way home "look out next year I am going to do even better". |
